DUNSTABLE CLASSIC CAR & MOTOR RALLY 2023 WAS AWESOME!

When Lorrin Lee, the American marketing executive, designer, and architect, remarked that “happiness is living a life with fun, friends, and freedom”, one such special place he, no doubt. had in mind was Dunstable (Bedfordshire). So, if you've not taken your friends or family to any prime events in Dunstable, especially recently, you're missing out on a lot.

Dunstable undoubtedly offers notable and left-field events that leave you and your loved ones with distinct and lasting memories. One choice example is the annual Classic Motor Rally, recently held at Priory House Heritage Centre (June 10th), showcasing diverse heritage cars from a range of owners. The exciting ambience, as well as the fun and relaxing mood at the rally, gave the participants a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Gosh, you would have loved it!

As hinted, the most awe-inspiring morsel of this banquet of cars was the display of more than 190 classic vehicles in the gardens! "190," could you believe that? These classic cars came in all shapes, colours and sizes, ranging from Chevrolet to Ford Mustang, Model T to Porsche, among others. It was indeed an amazing view to behold!

Other than the allure of vintage cars, there's more. As you can imagine, the atmosphere was marinated with the sonorous presentations of the Barn-Ettes. The trio pumped the air with intense energy and versatility, serenading the entrants with hits from the 40s up to the 80s. That sure was something to experience.

To take the experience several notches higher were Luke White and the Vauxhall Luton male voice choir. Luke White made hearts melt and produced tunes that infused the atmosphere with high spirits. Similarly, the choir were at their absolute best, a superb ensemble that left most participants in awe and chills with their beautiful voices.

At this juncture, we’ve got to talk about a personal favourite segment of the event – fun activities for the children. Yes, there were free arts and crafts materials for the up-and-coming Banksy’s to show off their creativity. Also, there was a section for children's rides and face painting. Teaching Talons, Animal Ambassadors Ltd was present too. They elevated the ecstasy, playing with their feathered and furry friends. Little wonder children everywhere were keen to spend their day in such an exciting place.

If you already feel that these activities made the event a family weekend getaway, you are right, it certainly was. In fact, the taste of delicious meals from Sweeeeeetz Shop, Archie's Bakery and Ann Marie's Fresh Caribbean cuisine should be emphasized. Several community groups and stalls, such as Theo's Future, Square, and Drama Circle, were also featured.

Dunstable Classic Car and Motor Rally 2023, sponsored by the Caremark Central Bedfordshire Page, was a wonderful experience. Rest assured that the next one will be better, brighter, bigger. An ideal day out for one and all.
