FABULOUS FRIVOLITY AT FAIRLANDS VALLEY OUTDOOR ACTIVITY CENTRE

Hardly anyone would debate the agelong proposition that health is wealth. Maintaining excellent physical well-being indeed provides tremendous value for people from all walks of life and age range. If you remain physically active and be in a happy place with your loved ones, your shot at a balanced lifestyle has greatly improved. Well, I know just the right place where you can make this happen - especially if you’re a lover of water - Fairlands Valley Park and Outdoor Activity Centre.

As you can probably guess, Fairlands Valley Park is a massive 120-acre parkland with many escapades that offer you and your family an exciting and memorable outdoor experience. There is something for you here, that is guaranteed!

One of the first sights to catch your attention are the lakes, established in the early ‘70s, covering 20 acres of the land. Nestled within spectacular flora, you can engage in a wide range of water activities such as dragon boat racing, canoeing, windsurfing, kayaking, powerboating, paddle boarding, and angling on Main Lake. A real treat for you sailors. On Millennium Lake, show your caring side by feeding the wildfowl or simply drink in the view. As its name implies, the Environmental Lake is for lovers of wildlife, playing host to a menagerie of animals such as squirrels, foxes, amphibians, raptors, and wildfowl.

Hey, before you think Fairlands Valley is just about lakes, think again. The Park provides opportunities for adventurous activities such as mountain biking, orienteering, power kiting, grass boarding, buggies and grass sledges. I am exhausted just describing it! If you get your thrills from heart-stopping high rope events high in the trees, you’ve got it. You could go on the Leap of Faith, Crate Stacking, Jacobs Ladder, or Abseiling. On a lighter note, you may try out the Adventure Maze or just go jogging or enjoy a healthy walk on the Trim Track.

Fairlands Valley Park, located at Six Hills Way, Stevenage SG2 0BL, United Kingdom, is open 24hrs, 7 days a week. While there are no baby-changing facilities, the Park is pushchair and wheelchair friendly. You could also take your dog around. There is a provision for free onsite parking and toilets for your convenience. There is also the Costello’s Cafe to order your food or treat yourself to an ice cream or snacks to keep the fun going. You can also register for the SLL membership programme if interested.

Now here’s the kicker, reviews about the park have been so positive and enthusiastic. So set sail as soon as you can and pay the Park a visit, you don’t want to miss out!
