KNEBWORTH HOUSE AND GARDENS: AN ANCIENT ADVENTURE

Clearly, the desire to become more successful and speedily ascend the ladder to your prime is a central goal for the majority of us all in this busy, far from normal world of ours today. While career pursuit is not central to our needs, we need balance to attain some semblance of a status quo. It is crucial we carve out time for other important aspects of our lives, especially the family. After all, it has been said, no amount of money, nor success, can ever, ever replace time spent with your nearest and dearest. Now, it is not as much about quantity but quality time spent. I have found the very house that offers pleasure and ever- lasting memories with your family -- Knebworth House.

Knebworth House is an established country house in the parish of Knebworth. It will be exactly two years next month when I found this treasure. I must say, this is a place you will eternally enjoy upon every visit with your kids. Built in 1490, Knebworth House is a building steeped in history, with impressive gardens stretching into the horizon. During my visit, I admired the wilderness garden, which entertained giant dinosaurs and other mysterious reptiles at different locations -- 72 in total (yes, I counted each one!). Hey, not to worry! These dinosaurs are not real. However, you (much more your children) will have a wonderful time admiring these life-like creatures. Other than the dinosaur trail, there is a grassy mound for playing and rolling yourself dizzy. There is a rose garden alongside the wildlife. With visitors in mind, most especially the kids, there is the Fort Knebworth Adventure Playground. You can only appreciate the splendor of this building by a visit. Other amazing features are the maze and the slides. Splendid indeed!

Knebworth House is most famous for the various legendary concerts it has hosted. Some iconic names include Robbie Williams, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Oasis. Need I say more! On a regular summer day, entertainment is often held for your enjoyment.. I have seen this historic house on TV and films and you can be assured that it is now fast turning into a typical drive in cinema. The new new! The old stately house has such amazing views you must see, especially regarding the Lytton family down the years. The historic objects are jaw-dropping, and they've got the approachable, knowledgeable staff to explain everything.

There are two parking areas -- one at the garden and the other at the adventure playground. Whichever you choose, it is free. Whoo-hoo! Feel free to check their website and book your ticket before visiting. This will save you time and stress. Opening hours are between 10:30 and 17:00. Knebworth House, Knebworth, Hertfordshire SG1 2AX England is rated on the register of Historic Parks and Gardens as of special interest. It is a Grade II* building, well-positioned next to the St. Mary Church and the Lytton family mausoleum.

It would be best if you just visited for the fun and adventure factor. Time spent with the family is worth every second. Enjoy it. You will!
