THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT IN LUTON

Have you ever heard this expression, "The Spirit of Christmas waves a magic wand over the world and behold; everything is softer and more beautiful?" Well, I believe this is a quote very close to my heart. The Spirit of Christmas continuously exudes an exhilarating breath of fresh air; it unlocks a unique level of beauty and majesty upon Earth's creatures. Away from the stress of the world, the Spirit of Christmas rejuvenates our souls. It teases out our beaming smiles, reignited love, passion and strengthened hope. We emerge from our bubbles more joyful, charitable and loving. This is the Spirit of Christmas. It indeed bathes the world in beauty.

Now, you must be aware that Christmas’s splendor is often manifested in the lights that flood our houses, towns and cities. I have recently enjoyed this thrilling experience in Luton, one that unlocked an exciting self-discovery about Christmas illuminations. I found a new level of beauty manifested in the lights. They did not just provide aesthetic value; they served as beacons of hope and a new beginning for me in these dark times.

Again, the sheer beauty and splendor of these lights blessed my soul and swathed my heart with warmth, life and delight. It re-kindled my determination to keep hope alive. Such was the profound effect of the lights in Luton. The sparkles, the brightness, the grandeur! From the private gardens to the grotto, beautiful sights indeed to behold. Let me tell you about it!

My tales of the lighting up of Luton with Christmas joy are truly unforgettable. Perhaps you didn’t know, Luton is a small town in Bedfordshire, a close neighbor to London. I witnessed the turning on of the celebrationary blanket of light on the last Saturday of November. Organized, courtesy of the Luton Bid, the evening featured stellar performances from brilliant artists such as Lee Drummin, Konnie Deppe, Conroy Berry, and the Finbar Irish Line Dancers. Luton Town Hall itself was another eye-catching monument for me. The aesthetics were superb, featuring a rainbow of beautiful colour projections and lasers, birthed from fantastic planning and creativity. It will undoubtedly take your breath away!

Well, alongside the lights, my experience of Luton’s Spirit of Christmas reached its peak with several other visits. One was to Santa's marvelous, ‘Magical Toy Shop,’ located within the Luton Library Theatre. I obviously made a quick visit to Father Christmas at Wardown house and told him that I have been a good girl this year! I was treated to several delectable festive foods such as German bratwurst sausages and burgers. The sights and sounds at the Stockwood Discovery Centre are also unforgettable. I was blown away by the soothing music that pervaded the air.

Oh, the gardens! What beautiful scenes with pathways laced with sparkling, colorful, sparkling stars. I delighted in meanders that treated me to beautiful stories of the gardens. The community spirit in Luton will never be forgotten nor extinguished, I was treated like family by everyone I met. What a fantastic place to be at Christmas!

The season of Christmas is super beautiful here. You should also visit Luton for a Christmas break. However, COVID-19 has become intense with this second wave so ensure you follow the necessary precautionary measures and stay safe. Glory in the beauty of Christmas past and present here in Luton, Christmas future, I guarantee, will be spectacular!
