To fully appreciate the world in which we live, nature parks are ideal places where we take some needed time out to relax, rejuvenate and recharge. They also offer ample opportunity to connect with the beauty of life. And often, they serve as a succinct reminder of how important the green environment is to individuals and our collective well-being. It is a true delight therefore to introduce to you one of the world's loveliest parks. In this beautifully laid out garden, you can relax, connect to nature's beauty and find peace in your mind and soul. Today we are at Wardown Park.
Wardown Park is stunning, with natural scenery and a warren of escapes, situated at the heart of the River Lea in Luton, Bedfordshire. The history of this oasis of delight predated the 20th century when it was home to a farmhouse and a private estate owned by Richard How. It remained a private dwelling until Frank Chapman Scargill rebuilt it and later transferred ownership to J Fordon, who renamed it Wardown. This remained so until 1904 when two local councilors purchased the land on behalf of the town council. Since then, the park has enjoyed considerable care and nurturing attention, a sight many visitors agree is such a beauty to behold!
Notably, Wardown Park features a landmark museum. This historical journey to the past offers you the opportunity to gen up on salient historical facts. Knowledge, they say, is power so it would be ideal if you visited the park to have both fun and learn more about your surroundings. Wardown Park also features a significant celebrated edifice, The Daisy Chain Wall. It is named such due to its beautiful delicate branch pattern that features along the entire length of the wall. You should visit the park to behold this beautiful gift from nature.
Yet another highlight of the Park is the infamous cricket ground. This ground has played host to many top matches in the UK, where the thwack of leather on willow reminds us of the crazy hazy days of summer. It allows you to play this pinnacle of British sport yourself and enjoy the company of likeminded people You can also enjoy a refreshing timeout at the lake, where the swimming regalia offers the excuse to relax with friends and family, with the inevitable delicious picnic of course to boot.
Note that you can find the park between the Old Bedfordshire and the A6 New Bedfordshire Roads. It is usually open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm. Admission is free!
Don't miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the fun and beautiful times that await you! Wardown Park is the place to be.
gorgeous,Poem (Butterfly)
Oh little lovely butterfly
Look at me with sparkling eye
Crossing fields in swift cool breeze
Flying over beneath the trees
I can see you around me fly
Look at me with sparkling eye
Touching the flowers with a bliss
Soft petals of flowers give you a kiss
Where are you? Here am I
Look at me with sparkling eye
Fly like birds ascends descends
Children catch you in their hands
Who will tell me? Where you die?
Look at me with sparkling eye
White, blue, yellow, black and brown
All your colors in French, Greek towns
Everyone loves you, never feel shy
Look at me with sparkling eye
